1. Roomba Q5 pro
The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive counterpart, the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums we have test. They feature top-of-the-line motors that can produce up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. Like other iRobots with premium features (including the top model), they use smart mapping to create detailed floorplans and avoid household obstacles such as cords and furniture leg. The robots also feature a feature called Carpet Boost that boosts its power when it senses dirt on the carpet.
The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored extremely well in our tests on bare floors, and they are particularly adept in removing dog hair. They do have some flaws however, which prevent them from being our top option. For instance, the Q5's navigation system doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance which means it's susceptible to getting hung up on shoes and socks and can't navigate tight spaces very efficiently in our tests. It doesn't also have a camera to see around corners.

However, it's a good choice for those who want to save money on an Roomba from iRobot, and you have a mostly unfinished home or office. It's also quiet and works when you're at work or at school. It lacks the edge-to-edge bare floor vacuuming feature that's offered in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective at mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 does have self-emptying docks, however. If you want to, you can switch the mopping pad for dry ones in a matter of seconds.
2. iRobot Roomba
The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact, sleek vacuum cleaner that also has the ability to mop floors. Its intelligent cleaning maps as well as fluid navigation make it simple to clean, and efficient in dealing with larger particles such as pet hair. It also has strong suction and a self-emptying bin. It's the most efficient robot hoover for carpets, but it's not as effective as some rivals in deep cleaning.
This high-performance vacuum and mop utilizes sensors that help it stay clear of obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the patterns of your home over time to ensure better cleaning. You can alter its cleaning schedule and customize zones using the app that is well-designed. It has a battery life that is comparable to other models.
You can instruct the X30 Ultra to remove its mop and extend them when in a carpeted area which prevents cross-contamination. Its flex arm is perfect to get under furniture with low levels and along baseboards. It's not as efficient on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.
During tests, X30 Ultra was the most efficient robot vacuum/mop which could clean an entire home with just 66 percent of its battery remaining. It also did an excellent job cleaning a range of rooms and floors with different flooring types, including some area rugs. Its obstacle detection was great and it stayed clear of fake dog turds and socks, shoes and bundles of cables.
It's more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but it has superior suction and an onboard bin that is automatically empty into the base. It also supports voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can even clean the floor after vacuuming this feature, which we haven't seen in other robotic vacuum/mop combos.
3. IRobot Roomba X40
With a sleek circular design that appears like a regular Roomba rather than the compact models This robot vacuum and mop combo is one of the most appealing looking in our tests. The newest model from iRobot is its most advanced and has advanced features like Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology as well as future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can autonomously wash mop pads).
It's the only robot vacuum/mop to score an exemplary 10/10 in our tests thanks to a blend of high-tech sensors that include a camera, structured light system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that is fully autonomously refill and empty its base station, and it boasts its own self-cleaning mop pads.
As with other iRobot models like the X40 is easy to use, offering an intuitive mobile app interface and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant. The only downside is that the X40 still a loud unit. This can be a problem in mornings before work or at night when you're trying to sleep.
agree with this 's also quite expensive but not as much as the Ecovacs S8 MaxV Ultra or the Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally capable and better looking. If you're willing to live with a little more noise and some additional cost this is a powerful two-in-one that will please almost everyone.
iRobot L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop, with a lot of advanced features to help you forget about your chores. Similar to Ecovacs the range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-free cleaning machine that can take charge of both mopping and vacuuming. It comes with a multi-function dock that automatically emptys the vacuum's dustbin, refills its water tank, cleans and dry its mop pads.
The smart robot makes use of a combination of LIDAR and structured light to create floor plans and spot obstacles, making it more efficient than its more expensive rivals. It also has a front mounted camera for real-time hazards detection, though this wasn't completely foolproof in our tests, and could be confused with obstructions or power cords.
Its vacuum has a suction capacity of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to get the job done. agree with this features "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the intensity at which the vacuum works and alters the frequency of cleaning for different areas of your home according to the amount of dirt they tend to be.
If you own a larger home, it is worth selecting a robot that comes with spot or zone cleaning mode. This allows you to tell the robot which area of your home must be cleaned with the help of an app or voice command. A stair mode can be beneficial if you have number of furniture. Additionally, a recharge and resume function that lets your robot vacuum take over exactly where it left off is great for busy families.
iRobot RX3
The RX3 is a cleaner with more intelligence than you would expect from its price tag. It's a pro at cleaning, removing 55% of debris in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses with a single pad that uses an oscillating motion that does a better job cleaning than the other mop cleaners for robots we've tried. It's also extremely self-sufficient, with a full-featured app and a self-emptying, washable base.
The well-designed iRobot app will guide you through an initial mapping exercise that collects information about your floorplan as well as any "no-go" areas you mark on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules or organize the spot-cleaning. It can also be used to it to prioritize the most soiled areas for greater efficiency. The app comes with a variety of options, including seasonal suggestions, custom mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.
It also has the ability to reach corners and under furniture better because its shape is more rectangular. It has a powerful 8000 Pascal suction as well as intelligent combs to remove pet hair. You can also organize a spot-cleaner that thoroughly cleans an area.
The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD offers a sleeker, cheaper alternative to iRobot Roomba. It's got a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras resemble cute eyes. It is excellent at vacuuming, but it's more likely to be caught on low thresholds. It also has a higher noise than other top robot vacuums that we've tested. It also has a less intuitive app and a small base station that doesn't double as an emptying bin.
